The study on the position of pulp horn in Korean adult teeth

Abstract
The author had been conducted detailed measurements on the position of pulp horn of the individual teeth in Korean. Furthermore, the positional relationships of pulp horn in each teeth were studied comparatively anterior, premolar and molar teeth in the maxillary and mandibular dental arch.
The following conclusions were obtained;
1. The morphological contour of individual pulp chamber in Korean adult teeth is not necessarily coincided with the anatomical contour of the individual teeth.
2. The distances from the labial and lingual surfaces of central incisors to the pulp horn in maxilla and mandible showed more shorter than lateral incisors and canine respectively.
3. The distances from the buccal cusp and lingual cusp to the pulp horn in maxillary premolar teeth were more nearer than those in mandible and the distances from the mandibular lingual surface to the pulp horn were more nearer than those in maxilla.
4. No significant differences between the distances of the individual surface and pulp horn in the molar teeth were showed.
